About Us

 Welcome

There has been a printing establishment in Somerton since circa 1725. The Somerton Printery started life binding and printing books for the Somerton Church and we believe that The Somerton Printery was based in Broad Street at that time.

The Printery also printed the local newspaper, headed cards, letter heads etc.

The Somerton Printery has also printed publications for many far flung places in the world like, Tristan da Cuna and St Helena in the South Atlantic!!

The Printery...

.... was moved into New Street, sometime around 1825 and was based with the post office in the “Old Saddlery”. Then was moved into the “Old Printery” in 1901 which was owned by Stuckies Bank.

George Jones then bought the Printery from the bank and the Printery resided there till 2015, when we took the plunge and moved onto the trading estate.
